The “Robot and Artificial Intelligence” team of students from the College of Engineering and Architecture at Umm Al-Qura University, under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs, achieved first place in the robot championship accompanying the Saudi Games held by: “The Saudi Federation for Robotics and Wireless Sports.”"October 16-17"; This is in preparation for representing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the international competition held in Houston, Texas, USA. The team trained in a training camp for three consecutive days; In preparation for participating in the tournament.
The camp was held at the Applied University Schools Complex in Riyadh. Which hosted the camp and the robotics and artificial intelligence team and provided all its capabilities: laboratories, workshops, and robotics and artificial intelligence laboratories,artificial intelligence, and technical support; The team received great interest from those in charge of the school complex, led by the General Director, Mr. Abdul Rahman Moeed Al-Qathami, the coach, Engineer Sherif Ashraf Hammad, and the coach, Engineer Saad Abdel Fattah Fawzi.
The team was supervised by faculty member Dr. Engineer Talal Saleh Mandoura, and the team is led by student Ahmed Al-Masry, and the following students participated:Iyad Qari, Abdullah Al-Attas, Adel Al-Zahrani, Ismail Zamzami, Muhannad Al-Muzaini, Yazan Bamaqos, Khaled Al-Ghanimi, Sultan Al Ibrahim, and Abdullah Al-Sabri.
